The Sheps provided the music for a program "A Taste Of Doo-Wop", presented by Jim & Nikki for the Lynbrook Public Library.
Crystalairs with Nikki at Co-Cos, Huntington, NY -7/12/2001
Doo-Wop thrives not just in the US but around the world. Based in Germany, The Crystalairs are helping to keep the music alive in europe. Now in their 30s, the group formed when members were in their teens, and has been together for about 13 years . Their smooth sound reflects that longevity. They recently completed a vist to the US which included a performance in Huntington, NY with the Dedications, as well as an appearance on Don K. Reeds "Doo-Wop" shop.

This spur of the moment get together in June 2000 included:

and quickly led to some backyard singing.
Billed as the "Four Kings", this outdoor show in Harlem in August 2001 featured:
Lloyd Price, Jerry Butler, Gene Chandler and Ben E. King

Between acts, Jim and others do some acappella singing.
Jim has done backup vocals for Joe Villa , lead singer of 3 Friends / Royal Teens on several occasions.

In the summer of 2002 CBS announced it's intentions to take the long running "Doo-Wop Shop", hosted by Don K. Reed off the air. This did not happen without Doo-Wop lovers in the metro NYC area protesting. And yes Jim & Nikki were there in the midst of the fray.

In August 2004 Jim performed (keyboard and vocals) as part of the Paramounts for a show at The Shadowbrook Resort in Tunkhannock, PA.
